Copyright, Licensing, and Intellectual Property

  1. Ownership Rights: Clients and freelancers must respect the ownership rights of any work produced. Unless otherwise agreed upon, ownership of deliverables will be transferred to the client upon full payment.
  2. Licensing Agreements: Any licensing agreements, whether for partial rights, usage rights, or shared ownership, must be clearly documented and agreed upon by both parties.
  3. Original Work: Freelancers must ensure that all work submitted is original or appropriately credited and licensed. Plagiarism or the unauthorized use of third-party content is strictly prohibited.
  4. Intellectual Property Protection: Both clients and freelancers must take reasonable steps to safeguard and respect each other’s intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and proprietary content.
